Türkiye Materials 27 February 2009 14:37 (UTC +04:00)

Turkish Civil Aviation Authority will enact new restrictions for liquids in hand luggage in domestic flights beginning from March 1, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported Friday.
According to new restrictions, domestic flight passengers will not be allowed to carry liquids, including alcoholic drinks, lotions, perfumes, shampoos, toothpaste, all kind of cosmetics and several other non-solid materials more than one liter in their carry-on baggage, said the report.
It added that passengers would be required to separate their toiletries --less than 100 ml -- and put them in transparent plastic bags and the regulations will not limit the amount of liquids for checked luggage.
The new restrictions for domestic flights comply with international rules, it added.
Restrictions can be relaxed for babies and patients considering their conditions, the civil aviation authority was quoted as saying.
