There is no ban on bringing the Azerbaijani flag at the Turkey-Armenia football match to be held in the Turkish city of Bursa on Oct. 14, said Hulusi Kilic, the Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
"The ban on the Azerbaijani flag at the Bursa stadium is not true. Flags of both countries will be at the stadium, and no one can prevent it," said Kilic.
The Bursa Governorship has imposed a ban on bringing the Azerbaijani flag during the Turkey-Armenian match to be held on Oct. 14, the Bursa Governor Sehabeddin Harput's Press Secretary Nurdan Berkin told Trend on Oct. 7. Berkin said this step is taken to prevent possible provocations.
This is a football match and one should not expect anything political from it, said Kilic.
"This is a football match. And the politics is in another place," said the ambassador.
