Turkish Health Ministry said on Monday the death toll of A/H1N1 flu has reached six in Turkey, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
The ministry said that recently two children, a 22-month-old baby girl and a 14-year-old boy who had a chronic disease, died of A/H1N1 flu in central Anatolian province of Konya, Xinhua reported.
The ministry also said that nine A/H1N1 flu patients were under treatment at intensive care units of several hospitals.
According to the ministry, the first A/H1N1 case in Turkey was reported on May 15, while the first death case happened in Ankara on Oct. 24.
As of Sunday, 1,870 people in Turkey had tested positive for A/H1N1 flu since May, according to the statement.
