Another 46 more people died of the influenza A/H1N1 in Turkey, bringing the death toll to 241 in the whole country, announced the Turkish Health Ministry on its website Thursday, Xinhua reported.
The ministry said in a statement that 223 were hospitalized due to the virus, and 86 were in intensive care and 62 on life support.

Health officials reiterated that the best way to get protected from the A/H1N1 flu was vaccination, adding that a mass vaccination program, covering people from 6 months old to 24 years old, was under way.
Turkey reported the first A/H1N1 flu case in May and the first death from the disease in October.
