Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the launching of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University and Alliance of Civilizations Institute in Istanbul, TRT World reported.
Stating that no country on earth has the luxury to turn its back to developments in the period of globalization Erdogan said "When you turn your back, you are also turning your back to science, technology and prosperity."
Erdogan expressed his expectation from the Alliance of Civilizations project, which he joined the initiation of it as a global peace project, as "being the voice of the conscience of humanity."
Prime Minister Erdogan said "We want peace, tranquility, and prosperity in our region, we don't want wars, terror, blood and tears in our region, therefore we say: Alliance of Civilizations. We will never side with tyranny, we will always take side by the right and justice."
The wife of Qatari Emir, Sheikha Mozah said they want to realize many projects with Turkey on the Alliance of Civilizations.
