Alexander Downer, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's special adviser on Cyprus, will arrive in Ankara on Thursday to hold talks with Turkish officials, Anadolu Agency reported.
Downer met with the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Dervis Eroglu and leader of the Greek Cypriot administration Demetris Christofias in Lefkosa on Wednesday.
Downer's visit to Ankara comes several days before Ban Ki-moon meets Eroglu and Christofias in a tripartite meeting in Geneva on January 26.
