Turkey is uneasy over the ongoing incidents which cause casualties in Bahrain, Anadolu News Agency reported.

Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Selcuk Unal, who is currently in India, said on Friday that Turkey was closely monitoring the ongoing incidents in Bahrain, adding that casualties in the country were concerning.

Unal urged all parties in Bahrain to stay away from violence, and act with restraints and deliberateness.

It is our sincere wish that the tension will drop, and stability and peace will be restored immediately in Bahrain which has been a distinguished country with the reforms it fulfilled in the region, he said.

Unal noted that sustainable stability could be provided only when people's peace, prosperity, security and happiness were assured, adding that respect towards people's rights and freedoms was necessary for this.

Turkey was ready to make necessary contribution to Bahrain, he noted.

Five anti-government protesters were killed and more than 200 others were wounded in a political unrest in Bahrain on Thursday.
