Two journalists arrested under Ergenekon operation in Turkey

Journalists Nedim Shener and Ahmet Shik were arrested on Sunday within the scope of Ergenekon investigation, Anadolu Agency reported.

Sener and Sik were interrogated by prosecutor Zekeriya Oz in Istanbul courthouse in Besiktas district, and were sent to the 10th Heavy Criminal Court for arresting. They were sent to Metris Prison.

Several journalists, including Sener and Sik, were detained by the police on Thursday under Ergenekon, an alleged criminal network plotting to foment chaos to prepare the groundwork for a military takeover.
