The leader of an Egyptian political party has said that his party admires Turkey's experiences in economy and democracy Todayszaman reported
Hamden Sabbahi, head of the al-Karama (Dignity) Party of Egypt and a presidential candidate, told the Anatolia news agency in Cairo this week that Egypt's people were eager to taste the fruit of the revolution. "If the Jan. 25 revolution does not conclude with an elected parliament and president, the Egyptian people will start a second revolution," Sabbahi stated. He says if he were elected president, he would work to make Egypt a modern exporter country with a mixed economic system.
Speaking on regional politics, the politician stated that the "Arab-Turkish-Iranian triangle" would be the future of the region. "Our strategic neighborhood and the unity of religion bind these three nations to each other. Egypt, Turkey and Iran are the key countries in the Middle East and at the heart of the Islamic world. Our foreign policy project is based on strategic and economic relations among the Arab countries, Turkey and Iran," he said.
Sabbahi voiced admiration for Turkey's economic success and robust democracy, adding that Turkey and Egypt have promising opportunities to improve relations.
