Davutoglu discusses Ukraine with UN, EU over phone
Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu discussed the latest developments in Ukraine with several top diplomats, according to diplomatic sources Anadoly Agency reported.
Davutoglu joined a tele-conference with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy for the European Union Catherine Ashton, US Secretary of State John Kerry, Germany's Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, France's Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, Italy's Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini, Canada's Foreign Minister John Baird, Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski and Switzerland's Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter.
The group had held a similar discussion on Ukraine on Thursday.
A referendum will be held on Sunday in Crimea, the southernmost autonomous part of Ukraine that is significant for Russian interests. It will decide whether the peninsula will be a part of Russia.
