An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale hit Bingel province in the eastern Turkey, Anadolu Agency reported on Sept.28.
The earthquake occurred at 11:22 local time Sept.28.
No victims or destruction was reported.
The strongest fluctuations in the earth's crust in Turkey were registered in 1999 in the Marmara Sea. At that time the magnitude of the tremors was 7.4 and caused the deaths of about 18,000 people.
