Some 330 illegal immigrants, attempting to go to Italy, have been detained in Turkey's Mersin province, Anadolu agency reported on Jan.19.
The illegal immigrants were detained in a fishing vessel flying the flag of the state of Togo.
There are also Syrian citizens among the detained.
Moreover, four Turkish citizens involved in dispatching the illegal immigrants to Italy, were detained.
