The pre-election rally of Turkish opposition Peoples' Democratic Party resulted in clashes between the participants and the police in the country's Samsun province, Milliyet newspaper reported June 1.

The clashes left 11 people, including seven police officers injured.

As many as 15 people have been detained by the police.

Turkey will hold parliamentary election June 7 with participation of 20 political parties. As many as 53,765,231 people will participate in the voting.

Moreover, 2.9 million Turkish citizens will vote in the polling stations abroad. For this purpose, 112 polling stations will be created at the country's embassies in 54 countries.
