China's interference in the Syrian conflict can lead to a "small" world war, Mehmet Fatih Oztarsu, the Vice-President of the Turkish Strategic Outlook analytical center, told Trend Oct. 13.
He said that the interests of many countries are intertwined in Syria.
"The supporters of Syrian President Bashar Assad's have some interests," the expert said. "The terrorist organizations are also supported by certain groups."
"Meeting of the interests of all involved sides will fully change the regional boundaries," he said. "Moreover, new small states will be created to establish control over energy resources."
The armed conflict has been observed in Syria since March 2011. According to the UN, more than 220,000 people were killed. The governmental troops confront with the militants belonging to various armed groups. The fighters of Islamic State and Jabhat al-Nusra extremist groups are most active.
China has issued a statement on Syria at the meeting of the UN Security Council.
China believes that the world should respect Syria's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
"China doesn't have a personal interest in the Middle East, so China is ready to play a constructive role," said the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, speaking at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
He said that the world needs to take control of the humanitarian crisis and "to promote the peace process."
Earlier, Turkish media reported that the Turkic Uyghurs leave China and go to Turkey and Syria, and Turkish diplomats in the countries of Southeast Asia help them.
The Turkish foreign ministry denied the information on the recruitment of the Turkic Uyghurs in China by Turkish diplomats to participate in the military conflict in Syria.
