An armed attack has been committed at the airport in the southeastern Turkish province of Hakkari, the Turkish Milliyet newspaper said Oct.17.
The attack was made by members of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), according to preliminary data.
The airport building has been severely damaged, according to the information.
No injuries are reported as the result of the incident.
The airport in Turkey's Hakkari province was commissioned May 26, 2015.
Of 69 airports operating in Turkey, 21 are international, 31 airports are used for domestic flights, and 17 of them are military airports.
