Germany's access to Turkey's Incirlik Air Base in Adana province may be limited by the country in response to the Bundestag's (the German parliament's) resolution to recognize the 1915 events as "Armenian genocide", the Haber7 newspaper reported June 6 citing diplomatic sources.

It is expected that the Turkish government will discuss the issue this week.

Earlier, Berlin demanded from Ankara to grant Germany additional opportunities for its air forces on Turkish territory within the framework of talks between Germany and Turkey launched in February 2016, the details of which were not disclosed.

On June 2, Bundestag adopted a resolution recognizing the 1915 events as the "Armenian genocide".

Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey's predecessor, the Ottoman Empire, committed the so-called genocide against Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915.

While strengthening the propaganda of "genocide" in the world, Armenians achieved its recognition by parliaments of some countries.
