Electric buses will start operating in two Turkish provinces of Manisa and Elazig, Turkish media reported on April 20.
According to the report, the launch of operation of 22 buses in the mentioned provinces is scheduled for the end of April this year.
Meanwhile, it is expected that 10 electric buses will also operate in the Turkish province of Sanliurfa by the end of 2018.
Production of four models of electric buses is established at an enterprise of the Turkish automobile company "Bozankaya".
Turkey ranks sixth in Europe for the production of cars. The country is assembling cars under Ford, FIAT, Renault, Toyota, Honda, Opel, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz and MAN brands. In addition, local buses BMC, Temsa and Otokar are manufactured in Turkey.
