Turkey is sending additional military equipment to the Turkish province of Kilis bordering Syria, Turkish media reported Sept. 21.

It is reported that the concentration of military equipment in the province began in the morning of Sept. 21.

Tanks and armored personnel carriers were transferred to the border with Syria, the media reported.

On Sept. 4, Turkey started to transfer military equipment to the Turkish province of Hatay bordering the Syrian Idlib.

Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Turkey supports political solution to the Syrian conflict and, in particular, the crisis in Idlib.

The FM noted that Turkey is currently working together with Russia and Iran to resolve the crisis in Idlib.

"Bombing of Idlib, which could lead to a humanitarian crisis, is unacceptable," Cavusoglu said.

On September 7, the presidents of Turkey, Iran and Russia held a trilateral meeting, during which the situation in the Syrian Idlib was discussed.

Idlib is one of the de-escalation zones in the context of the Astana format. There are about three million civilians in the city.
