Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov. 3
By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:
Turkey has been admitted to the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA), the Turkish Foreign Ministry told Trend Nov. 3.
The decision on Turkey’s membership in the IORA was made in South Africa during the IORA meeting held Oct. 31-Nov. 2.
“Membership in the IORA will allow Turkey to enter new markets,” the Foreign Ministry said.
IORA is a dynamic organization of 21 Member States and 7 Dialogue Partners, with an ever-growing momentum for mutually beneficial regional cooperation through a consensus-based, evolutionary and non-intrusive approach.
Home to nearly 2.7 billion people, Member States whose shores are washed by the ocean are rich in cultural diversity and richness in languages, religions, traditions, arts and cuisines.
