Over 300 people killed in traffic accidents in Turkey

Some 35,461 traffic accidents were registered in Turkey in October this year, which killed 306 people, reads a report of the General Directorate of Security.

The number of people injured as a result of the traffic accidents amounted to 14,812.

The greatest number of traffic incidents during the mentioned period occurred as a result of side collisions (4,636).

In addition, 39 chain accidents were registered.

"The cause of 190 traffic accidents was exceeding speed limits," the report reads.

In October 2018, the penalty tickets in the amount of 476,000 Turkish liras were issued for drivers in Turkey.
