Istanbul police are conducting an anti-drug raid, Trend reports via Turkish media.

Reportedly, raids are carried out in three districts of Istanbul, as well as at previously established addresses. The names of the detainees were not disclosed.

According to statistics, the minimum age of Turkish citizens who started using drugs is 13 years, the average is 36, and the maximum is 65 years.

Drug addicts in Turkey at the age of 15 to 24 years old are 2.9 percent, from 25 to 44 years old 2.8 percent and from 45 to 64 years old 2.3 percent of the country's population.

There are 22 rehabilitation centers in the country where drug addiction is treated.

More than 300,000 people have been detained in Istanbul for using and selling drugs within the past four years.
