Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced holding a meeting with US President Donald Trump in the near future, Trend reports referring to Turkish media.
According to media reports, Erdogan told this to reporters in Ankara. In his words, the meeting will be held upon the initiative of President Trump.
As was stated earlier by Ibrahim Kalin, Press Secretary of the Turkish President, Ankara hopes that US President Donald Trump will visit Turkey.
Ibrahim Kalin said that Ankara repeatedly stated its readiness to receive Trump and that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan himself invited the US President to visit the country. The administration of the US President also does not exclude Trump’s visit to Ankara in 2019, he added.
