In Turkey, the volume of air cargo decreased by 10.1 percent in January-May 2019, compared to the same period of 2018, and reached over 1.275 million tons, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
In January-May 2019, 306,760 tons of cargo were transported by domestic flights, and 968,494 tons by international ones.
In the reported period, domestic freight traffic decreased by 9.8 percent compared to the same period of 2018. In the meantime, freight traffic by international flights decreased by 10.2 percent compared to the same period of 2018.
The freight traffic at the three main airports of Turkey (Sabiha Gokcen , Esenboga and Antalya) was 294,400 tons in January-May 2019.
