Number of construction companies grows in Turkey

In August 2019, 41 construction companies were registered in Turkey, which is 5.73 percent more compared to August 2018, the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB) told Trend on Sept. 30.
Twenty-nine IT companies were registered in the country in August 2019, which is 4.05 percent more compared to August 2018.
"In August 2019, 20 companies rendering consulting services were registered in Turkey, which is 2.79 percent more compared to August 2018," TOBB reports.
During the reporting period, 13 hotels were registered in Turkey (an increase of 1.82 percent) and 14 energy companies, which is 1.96 percent more compared to the same month of 2018.
The biggest number of companies, which were closed in Turkey in August 2019, accounted for the energy sector. "In August 2019, 275 energy companies closed in Turkey, which is 17.52 percent more than in August 2018," the TOBB said.
As many as 149 construction companies also closed, which is 9.49 percent more than in the same month in 2018.
In August 2019, 16 bank branches opened and 10 branches closed in Turkey.
"In January-August this year, 65 branches of banks opened and 176 branches closed in Turkey," TOBB said.
