Turkey is expected to receive over six million of tourists from Iran until 2020, the local officials said at the tourism fair in Turkish Van province, Trend reports via Turkish media.
According to media reports, the Turkey's Van province is one of the important centers for tourists from Iran, and the railway route between Ankara and Tehran will also increase the tourist flow from Iran to Turkey.
In August 2019, 6.307 million tourists visited Turkey, which is 17.17 percent more compared to August 2018.
During this period, Antalya received 2.4 million visitors, while 1.5 million tourists preferred Istanbul.
In January-August 2019, 31 million tourists visited Turkey, which is 14.72 percent more compared to the same period in 2018.
