From January to September 2019, over 1.191 million flights were carried out in Turkey, which is 0.5 percent less compared to the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.
During this period, there were 636,771 domestic flights and 554,646 international flights.
In the reported period, the number of domestic flights decreased by 7.7 percent, while the number of international flights increased by 9.4 percent, according to the ministry.
During the reported period, a total of 423,898 flights were carried out at three main airports of Turkey - Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya airports.
