TOP 10 products Turkey exported to China since early 2019

From January to September 2019, the biggest share of Turkey’s exports to China accounted for chemical products, a source in the Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM) told Trend.

During the reporting period, export of chemical products from Turkey to China decreased by 26.69 percent compared to the same period last year, amounting to $249.271 million.

Electrical goods ranked second in this list, according to the report.

“During the reporting period, the export of electrical goods from Turkey to China decreased by 12.20 percent compared to the same period in 2018, reaching $73.616 million,” the report said.

Textile products rank third in the list of goods exported from Turkey to China.

“From January to September 2019, the export of textile products from Turkey to China decreased by 19.04 percent compared to the same period in 2018, reaching $51.478 million,” the report noted.

Fashion jewelry ranks fourth in the list of goods exported from Turkey to China, the export of which decreased by 55.31 percent, amounting to $27.370 million.

“The next position in this list is taken by wood and paper products, the export of which from January to September 2019 increased 1.6 times compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $24.446 million,” the report said.

Cement ranks sixth in the list of goods exported from Turkey to China for the nine months of 2019, the export of which grew by 73.39 percent, amounting to $14.558 million.

“The seventh place in this list is taken by leather products, the export of which decreased by 20.39 percent, amounting to $14.252 million,” said the report. “The eighth place is taken by carpets, the export of which grew by 6.37 percent, amounting to $13.768 million.”

Steel ranks ninth in the list of goods exported from Turkey to China in the nine months of 2019. Its export decreased by 40 percent, amounting to $7.807 million.

“The tenth place is taken by goods of the defense industry, the export of which fell by 90.50 percent, amounting to $798,540,” reads the report.

From January to September 2019, Turkish exports to China decreased by 14.41 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $1.891 billion.

Turkey’s foreign trade in September 2019 increased by 0.11 percent compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to $32.181 billion.

From January to September 2019, Turkey’s total trade amounted to $286.419 billion.
