From January through September 2019, 138 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey, which is nine companies more than in the same period last year, a source in the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB) told Trend on Oct. 22.
The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Turkey from January through September 2019 amounted to 21.70 million Turkish liras ($3.7 million), while for the same period in 2018, this figure amounted to 40.97 million Turkish liras ($7 million).
It was noted that from January through September 2019, most of the Azerbaijani companies were registered in Istanbul (115 companies), with a total capital of 15.97 million Turkish liras ($2.7 million).
“During the reporting period, nine companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey’s Antalya province,” the source added. “The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered from January through September 2019 in Antalya province amounted to 1.877 million liras ($321,606).”
From January through September 2019, three mining, 15 industrial, 12 construction, 63 wholesale and retail trade companies, seven tourism, two medical and two financial insurance companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey.
“The remaining 34 companies with Azerbaijani capital are involved in other sectors of economy,” the report said.
The total capital of 63 wholesale and retail trade companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 9.05 million liras ($1.5 million).
