In October 2019, Turkey's exports of citrus fruits to Georgia slightly increased, Trend reports referring to Turkey's Union of Exporters of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables.
According to the union, in October 2019, Turkey exported 2,585 tons of citrus fruits to Georgia, which is 4 percent more compared to October 2018.
The value of Turkey's citrus exports to Georgia amounted to $944,000 in October 2019, which is 37 percent more compared to the same month of 2018.
In October 2019, Turkey's exports of fruits and vegetables increased by 3 percent, compared to October 2018, and amounted to 477,745 tons.
According to the union, during the reported period, Turkey's income from the export of fruits and vegetables grew by 11 percent, compared to the same period of 2018, and exceeded $201.7 million.
In October 2019, 110,923 tons of fruits were exported from Turkey, which is 22 percent more compared to October 2018. The country's income from fruit exports increased by 26 percent compared to October 2018 and amounted to just under $77.8 million.
According to the union, during the reported period, the export of vegetables from Turkey increased by 27 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 155,882 tons.
In October 2019, the value of Turkey's vegetable exports slightly exceeded $42.3 million.
Moreover, in October 2019, Turkey exported 210,791 tons of citrus fruits, which is 16 percent less compared to October 2018.
The value of Turkey's citrus exports in October 2019 exceeded $103.4 million.
