Turkey increased the export of fruits and vegetables to Russia in October 2019, the Turkish Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association told Trend on Nov. 22.
In October 2019, Turkey exported 36,823 tons of fruits to Russia, which is 64 percent more compared to October 2018.
"Fruits worth $28.8 million were exported from Turkey to Russia in October 2019, which is 79 percent more compared to October 2018," the association said.
The export of vegetables from Turkey to Russia increased by 50 percent in October 2019 compared to October 2018 and amounted to 4,315 tons.
"Vegetables worth $2.6 million were exported from Turkey to Russia in October 2019, which is 62 percent more compared to October 2018," the association said.
“In October 2019, citrus fruits worth $42.3 million were exported from Turkey to Russia, which is 37 percent more compared to October 2018,” the association said.
"Some 76,926 tons of citrus fruits were exported from Turkey to Russia in October 2019, which is 11 percent more compared to October 2018," the association said.
In October 2019, the export of Turkish fruits and vegetables increased by three percent compared to October 2018 and reached 477,745 tons.
Turkey's income from export of fruits and vegetables grew by 11 percent in October 2019 compared to October 2018 and amounted to $201.7 million.
In October 2019, 110,923 tons of fruits were exported from Turkey, which is 22 percent more compared to October 2018.
Turkey's income from export of fruits increased by 26 percent in October 2019 compared to October 2018 and amounted to $77.8 million. The export of vegetables increased by 27 percent and reached 155,882 tons.
In October 2019, vegetables worth $42.3 million were exported from Turkey.
Turkey exported 210,791 tons of citrus fruits in October 2019, which is 16 percent less compared to October 2018.
Citrus fruits worth $103.5 million were exported from Turkey in October 2019.
