From January through October 2019, 156 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey, which is eight companies more than in the same period last year, a source in the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB) told Trend on Nov. 22.
The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Turkey from January through October 2019 amounted to 24.4 million Turkish liras ($4.2 million), while for the same period in 2018, this figure amounted to 42.9 million Turkish liras ($7.5 million).
It was noted that from January through October 2019, most of the Azerbaijani companies were registered in Istanbul (129 companies), with a total capital of 18.2 million Turkish liras ($3.1 million).
“During the reporting period, nine companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey’s Antalya province,” the source added. “The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered from January through October 2019 in Antalya province amounted to 1.8 million liras ($321,606).”
From January through October 2019, four mining, 15 industrial, 13 construction, 71 wholesale and retail trade companies, 10 tourism and two financial insurance companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey.
“The remaining 41 companies with Azerbaijani capital are involved in other sectors of economy,” the report said.
The total capital of 71 wholesale and retail trade companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 10.6 million liras ($1.8 million).
