In November, 2019 the export of Turkish fruits, vegetables and citrus fruits increased by 19 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to 665,625 tons, Turkish Association of Fruit and Vegetable Exporters told Trend.
According to the association, for the indicated period, Turkey's income from exports of fruits, vegetables and citrus fruits increased by 11 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2018 and amounted to $330.914 million.
In November 2019, 83.361 tons of fruits were exported from Turkey, which is 3 percent more compared to the same period in 2018.
“For the indicated period of 2019, Turkey’s income from fruit exports grew by 3 percent compared to the last year and amounted to $77 million,” the Association said.
According to the Association, over the indicated period, the export of vegetables from Turkey increased by 20 percent compared to last year, amounting to 206,013 tons.
"In November 2019, $73.914 million worth of vegetables were exported from Turkey, which is 23 percent more compared to the same period in 2018," the Association said.
In November 2019, Turkey exported 376,251 tons of citrus fruits, which is 8 percent less compared to the same period in 2018.
"In November 2019, $180 million worth of citrus fruits were exported from Turkey, which is 8 percent more compared to the same month of 2018," the Association said.
