Turkey's exports of agricultural products to Russia down in 11 months of 2019

Turkey's exports of vegetables, fruits and citruses to Russia amounted to 834,241 tons in the first 11 months of 2019, having decreased by 4 percent compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey's Union of Exporters of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables.

In the first 11 months of 2019, Turkey's income from exports of vegetables, fruits, as well as citruses to Russia exceeded $611.3 million, having increased by 8 percent compared to the same period of 2018.

Moreover, in the first 11 months of 2019, Turkey exported 300,239 tons of fruits to Russia (a decrease of 8 percent) for over $285.3 million (an increase of 3 percent).

During the reported period, Turkey exported 140,454 tons of vegetables (a decrease of 14 percent) to Russia for over $111.3 million (a decrease of 6 percent).

From January through November 2019, Turkey's export of citruses to Russia amounted to 393,548 tons, having increased by 1 percent, compared to the same period of 2018. The total value of the exported citruses amounted to almost $214.7 million, which is 13 percent more, compared to the same period of 2018.

The export of Turkish fruits and vegetables decreased by 13 percent from January through November 2019 compared to the same period of 2018, amounting to 3.4 million tons, the Turkish Association of Fruit and Vegetable Exporters said.

During the reporting period, Turkey's income from export of fruits and vegetables decreased by six percent from January through November 2019 compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to $1.9 billion.

Over 1.1 million tons of fruits were exported from Turkey from January through November 2019, which is three percent less compared to the same period of 2018.

Turkey's income from the export of fruits grew by two percent from January through November 2019 compared to last year and amounted to $793 million.

The export of vegetables from Turkey decreased by six percent compared to last year, amounting to over 1.1 million tons.

From January through November 2019, vegetables worth $545 million were exported from Turkey.

Turkey exported over 1.2 tons of citrus fruits from January through November 2019, which is 25 percent less compared to the same period in 2018.

From January through November 2019, citrus fruits worth over $560 million were exported from Turkey.
