Ten companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey in January 2020, which is 10 companies less than in January 2019, Trend reports with reference to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).
The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Turkey in January 2020 exceeded 1.4 million Turkish liras (over $239,400), while in January 2019, this figure amounted to over 4.4 million Turkish liras (over $735,700).
Most of the Azerbaijani companies were registered in Istanbul (eight companies), with a total capital of 959,000 Turkish liras ($157,383).
Of these, one company is involved in industrial activities, four are in the wholesale and retail trade, while one company is involved in real estate sales.
The remaining four companies with Azerbaijani capital are involved in other sectors of the economy.
According to TOBB, the total capital of four wholesale and retail companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 699,000 Turkish liras ($114,714).
Some 184 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey in 2019, which was one company more compared to 2018.
The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Turkey amounted to 30.1 million Turkish liras ($5 million). This indicator amounted to 52.9 million Turkish liras ($8.9 million) during 2018.
Most of Azerbaijani companies (152 companies) were registered in Istanbul, with the total capital of 28.9 million Turkish liras ($4.8 million).
Ten companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey’s Antalya province. The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in this province amounted to 1.9 million Turkish liras ($321,570).
Four mining companies, 17 industrial, 15 construction, 88 companies in the wholesale and retail trade, 11 tourism, and two insurance companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey.
The remaining 47 companies with Azerbaijani capital are involved in other sectors of the economy.
The total capital of 88 wholesale and retail companies exceeded 12.2 million liras ($2 million).
