Turkey discloses volumes of benzene transhipment through its ports in Jan. 2020

A total of 32,150 tons of benzene were transhipped through the Turkish ports in January 2020, a source in Turkey's Transport and Infrastructure Ministry told Trend on Feb. 28.

During the reporting period, the volumes of benzene transhipped by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 5,000 tons.

“Some 27,150 tons of benzene were transhipped through the Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of other countries during the reporting period,” the ministry said.

This product was not transshipped through the Turkish ports in January 2020.

In January 2020, the volume of cargo transhipment through the Turkish ports amounted to 32.9 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipped by ships flying under the Turkish flag amounted to 2.4 million tons in January 2020.

The remaining 30.5 million tons account for the ships flying the flag of other countries.

Some 6.1 million tons of transit cargo were transshipped through the Turkish ports in January 2020.
