The volume of air cargo transportation in Turkey increased by 1.9 percent in January-February 2020, compared to January-February 2019, and amounted to 537,943 tons, Trend reports referring to Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
During the reported period, 118,022 tons of cargo have been transported by domestic flights, and 419,921 tons by international ones.
“In January-February 2020, domestic freight traffic decreased by 9.3 percent compared to the same months of 2019, while freight traffic by international flights increased by 6.8 percent compared to the reported period of 2019”, the ministry said.
The freight traffic at the three main airports of Turkey (Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya) reached 92,254 tons in January-February 2020.
