Cargo transportation through Turkey's airport in Diyarbakir province down

Some 3,820 tons of cargo were transported through Turkey's airport in Diyarbakir province from January through June 2020, which is by 41 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports on July 20 referring to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

During the reporting period, 3,535 tons of cargo were transported through the airport via domestic flights, which is by 41 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.

In turn, 285 tons were transported through the airport via international flights, which is by 47 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.

According to the data, the airport served 465,993 passengers from January through June 2020, which is 46 percent less compared to the same period in 2019.

From January through June 2020, 455,716 passengers were served via domestic flights, which is 46 percent less than in the same period of 2019.

As many as 10,277 passengers were served via external flights at the airport from January through June 2020, which is 58 percent less than in the same period of 2019.

In 1H2020, 3,239 flights were made through the airport, which is 41 percent less than in the same period of 2019. Out of them, 3,129 domestic flights were made from January through June 2020, which is 41 percent less than in the same period of 2019. The number of international flights through the airport decreased by 54 percent compared to the period from January through June 2019 and reached 110.

During first six months 2020, the number of flights decreased by 51 percent in Turkey and reached 350,881 flights.

Some 36.4 million passengers were served at all Turkish airports from January through June 2020.

During the reporting period, 1.03 million tons of cargo were transported through all airports of the country.
