The export of carpets from Turkey to China dropped by 30.37 percent from January through September 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, having made up over $9.5 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
According to the ministry, the export of carpets from Turkey to China declined by 38.54 percent in September 2020 compared to September 2019 and amounted to slightly over $1 million.
Turkey’s export of carpets to world markets in the first nine months of this year amounted to 1.6 percent of the country’s total export.
In September 2020, Turkey’s export of carpets to world markets exceeded $270.5 million, which is 17.6 percent more compared to September 2019.
Turkey’s export of carpets to world markets in September this year amounted to 1.8 percent of the country’s total export.
During the last twelve months (from September 2019 through September 2020), Turkey exported carpets worth over $2.5 billion abroad.
