Israel's nine-month import of jewelry from Turkey down

Turkey’s export of jewelry to Israel declined by 4.51 percent in the past nine months of 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, making up over $91.1 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.

According to the ministry, in September 2020, Turkey exported jewelry worth $12 million to Israel, which is 9.65 percent more than in the same month of last year.

The export of Turkish jewelry made up 2.3 percent of the country’s total export from January through September 2020.

Export of jewelry from Turkey to international markets slightly topped $314.9 million in September 2020, which is 28.2 percent less compared to the same month of 2019, the ministry said.

In September of this year, Turkey’s export of jewelry to international markets amounted to 2.1 percent of the country’s total export.

"During the last twelve months, from September 2019 through September 2020, Turkey exported jewelry and precious stones worth $3.3 billion," added the ministry.
