The export of cement from Turkey to Azerbaijan dropped by 21.31 percent in the past 10 months of 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, exceeding $27.9 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
In October 2020, Turkey’s cement exports to Azerbaijan plummeted by 55.23 percent compared to October 2019, equaling $2.15 million.
Turkey’s export of cement to world markets from January through October 2020 grew by 5.3 percent compared to the same period in 2019, exceeding $3 billion.
According to the ministry, the cement export from Turkey amounted to 2.3 percent of the country’s total export for the reporting period.
In October 2020, Turkey’s export of cement to international markets amounted to $357.1 million, which is 21.2 percent less compared to the same month of 2019.
Turkey’s export of cement to foreign markets in October this year amounted to 2.1 percent of the country’s total export.
During the last 12 months (from October 2019 through October 2020), Turkey exported cement in the amount of more than $3.6 billion abroad.
