Kazakhstan's 10M2020 import of Turkish leather products declines

The export of leather goods from Turkey to Kazakhstan reduced by 7.09 percent in the past ten months of 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, having made up over $16.4 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.

In October 2020, Turkey exported leather goods worth $2.1 million to Kazakhstan, showing a rise of 25.5 percent year on year.

Turkey’s export of leather goods to global markets from January through October 2020 decreased by 21.5 percent, compared to the same period of 2019, and made up slightly over $1.1 million.

The export of leather goods from Turkey made up 0.8 percent of the country's total export over the reporting period.

In October 2020, Turkey exported leather goods worth $131.1 million to foreign markets, down 11.3 percent compared to the same month of 2019, the ministry said.

Turkey’s export of leather goods in October this year amounted to and 0.8 percent of the country's total export.

During the last twelve months (from August 2019 through August 2020), Turkey exported the leather goods in the amount of over $1.3 billion.
