Turkey's 2M2021 revenues from grains, legumes export to Georgia up

Value of exporting grains and legumes from Turkey to Georgia increased by 20 percent in the first two months of 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, having exceeded $4.5 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on Mar.25.

According to the ministry, in February 2021 Turkey exported grains and legumes worth over $2.5 million to Georgia, which is 9.6 percent less than in February of last year.

Revenues of Turkey from exporting the products to global markets grew by 5.4 percent from January through February 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, totaling over $1.2 billion.

In February this year, Turkey exported $640 million worth of grains and legumes to international markets, which is 8 percent more compared to the same month of 2019, the ministry noted.

Over the past 12 months (from February 2020 through February 2021), Turkey exported grains and legumes worth $7.3 billion, added the ministry.
