Turkey's trade with Kazakhstan in February 2021 grew by over $98.3 million compared to the same month of 2020, making up $256 million, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
In the reporting month, Turkey's exports to Kazakhstan amounted to over $94.5 million, and imports from the country – slightly over $161.5 million, the ministry said.
From January through February 2021, trade between the two countries increased by $167.7 million compared to the same period of last year, amounting to over $475 million.
"During the specified period, Turkish exports to Kazakhstan amounted to $170.1 million, and imports - $304.8 million," the ministry said.
Turkey's total trade with foreign countries amounted to $36.2 billion in February 2021.
In the reporting month, Turkey's export increased by 9.6 percent compared to February 2020, amounting to $16.9 billion, while import decreased by 9.4 percent in annual terms, amounting to $19.3 billion.
From January through February 2021 the country’s trade turnover made up over $66.7 billion. Meanwhile, its export value stood at over $31.3 billion, which is 5.9 percent more than in the same period of 2020. Besides, the import value rose by 1.4 percent compared to 2M2020, exceeding $37.3 billion, noted the ministry.
Turkey's trade turnover amounted to $388.9 billion in 2020.
