Some 2.7 million tons of crude oil were transshipped across the ports of Turkey from January through February 2021, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on April 15.
According to the ministry, in the reporting period, 167,195 tons of crude oil were handled by ships flying the Turkish flag and 2.6 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.
Meanwhile, 7.7 million tons of crude oil were transited via Turkish ports.
Some 58.3 million tons of cargo were transshipped through the ports of Turkey from January through February 2021.
Over the reporting period, ships flying the Turkish flag shipped 4.8 million tons of goods, ships flying the flags of other countries – 53.6 million tons.
During the reporting period, 11.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.
The volume of cargo shipment through the Turkish ports amounted to 29.2 million tons in February 2021.
Cargo transshipment via the ports of Turkey by ships flying their countries’ flags amounted to 2.2 million tons and by ships flying the flags of other countries – 26.9 million tons.
Some 5.8 million tons of goods were transited through the Turkish ports in February 2021.
