The value of exports from Turkey to the Turkic-speaking countries rose by 33.6 percent in the first quarter of 2021 on annual basis, exceeding $1.5 billion, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
According to the ministry, in March 2021, Turkey's exports to the Turkic-speaking countries increased by 47.9 percent compared to March 2020, totaling over $596.6 million.
From January through March 2021, Turkey's imports from the mentioned countries was by 39 percent more than in 1Q2020, having surpassed $1 billion, the ministry said.
Turkey's imports from the countries in March 2021 grew by 64.2 percent over the year, amounting to over $422.9 million, added the ministry.
