The Turkish port of Kocaeli had received 2,302 ships from January through March 2021, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on May 6.
According to the ministry, in the reporting period, among the received ships 708 ones flied the Turkish flag, and other 1,594 - flags of other countries.
Overall, in the first 3 months of this year, Turkish ports received 12,016 ships, including 3,534 ones flying Turkish flag, the ministry said.
“The remaining 8,482 ships received by the local ports flied the flags of other countries,” added the ministry.
