Turkish ministry discloses volume of cargo handled through Bartin port

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 14

Some 396,686 tons of cargo were transshipped through the Turkish port of Bartin from January through March 2021, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

During the reporting period, ships flying the flag of Turkey through the port of Bartin transported 16,544 tons of cargo, ships flying the flags of other countries – 380,142 tons.

"No cargo was transited through the Turkish port of Bartin from January through March 2021," the ministry said.

The Turkish ports handled 94.6 million tons of cargo from January through March 2021. Some 7.4 million tons of cargo were transported by ships under the Turkish flag while under the flags of other countries – 87.2 million tons.

Moreover, the Turkish ports transited 18.4 million tons of cargo during the reporting period.

The Turkish ports handled 32.1 million tons of cargo in March 2021. Some 2.9 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying under the Turkish flag while under the flags of other countries – 29.3 million tons.

The Turkish ports transited 5.9 million tons of cargo in March.
