French import of grains from Turkey rises in value

Value of Turkey’s export of grains and legumes to France from January through April 2021 edged up by 32.3 percent compared to the same period of last year, to over $17.8 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.

According to the ministry, Turkey’s export of grains and legumes to France rose by 55.5 percent in April 2021 compared to April 2020 and amounted to $4.1 million.

Turkey increased export of grains and legumes by 15.5 percent from January through April 2021 compared to the same period of last year up to over $2.7 billion.

Turkey exported grains and legumes worth nearly $753.5 million in April, which is by 26.9 percent more than in the same month of 2020.

Turkey’s export of the mentioned products made up over $7.6 billion during the past 12 months (from April 2020 through April 2021).
