The value of export of furniture and wood from Turkey to the international market in the first 5 months of 2021 has grown, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on June 8.
According to the ministry, in the reporting period, this indicator rose by 28.1 percent, compared to the same period of 2020, making up $2.6 million.
In May 2021, Turkey exported furniture and wood worth more than $504.2 million abroad, which is 37.5 percent growth on annual basis, the ministry said.
Over the past 12 months (from May 2020 through May 2021), Turkey’s exports of the products amounted to more than $6.1 billion.
