The Turkish port of Iskenderun has received 1,943 ships from January through June 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.
According to the ministry, of the ships received at the port, 358 were flying the flag of Turkey, and 1,585 - the flag of other countries.
In June 2021, the ports of Turkey received 3,917 ships, the ministry said.
As the ministry noted, 1,218 of all ships received were flying the flag of Turkey, and 2,699 - flags of other countries.
The ports of Turkey received 23,369 ships in the first half of 2021, including 7,341 ships flying the Turkish flag.
At the same time, 16,028 ships were flying the flags of other countries, added the ministry.
